Play either of these easy-to-learn lawn games at the courts by Pullen Park’s Upper Shelter Area. Bocce and pétanque both involve throwing balls toward a small target; the park provides a dedicated place to play.
HOURS & LOCATION
Pullen Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find the courts at the Upper Shelter Area, 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606. On-site parking and restrooms are available.
COST & RESERVATIONS
Unreserved court use is free when a court is available. Reservations take priority and cost $7 per hour, including equipment rental. Reserve at the Pullen Park Welcome Center or ticket kiosk. If you plan to play without a reservation, bring your own boules or bocce balls.
GOOD TO KNOW
Wear comfortable shoes, share the court with other visitors, and keep throws within the marked play area. A reserved court is the best choice for a group or a specific play time.

Play for free when a court is open, or reserve a court for $7 per hour with equipment included at the Pullen Park Welcome Center or ticket kiosk.
