WHERE TO PICNIC
Pullen Park has open lawns and six reservable picnic shelters. Shelters have tables; most have grills. Bring your own food, drinks, and picnic supplies. The park is at 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606.
HOURS AND COST
The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. A casual picnic in the park has no admission charge. Reserving a shelter costs $30 or $35 per hour, with a three-hour minimum.
SHELTER OPTIONS AND RESERVATIONS
Shelter 2 holds about 30 people and costs $30 per hour. Shelters 1 and 6 hold about 75 people; shelters 3, 4 and 5 hold about 100. Those five shelters cost $35 per hour. Shelter 5 is not ADA-accessible. Reserve through the City of Raleigh’s RecLink system; choose a shelter and available time, then pay online. Casual lawn picnics do not need a shelter reservation.
PLAN YOUR VISIT
Restrooms and walking paths are available in the park. Parking is available on site, but spaces can fill during weekends and events. Keep shared areas tidy and carry out trash. For a large group, book a shelter in advance.
