The lake is a former quarry, giving divers a freshwater dive site with deep water, training platforms, marked areas, and underwater attractions. Fantasy Lake is used by certified divers, dive students, instructors, rescue groups, and local dive shops as a convenient inland diving location near Raleigh and the greater Triangle area.

Booking Information
Scuba divers should purchase their pass online before arrival and complete the required waiver. Student divers must be accompanied by an instructor, and certified divers should bring proof of certification if required. Instructors, dive shops, and groups should contact Fantasy Lake in advance if they are planning training sessions or group dives.
Need to Know Before Going
Fantasy Lake does not provide full scuba instruction to the public as a dive shop would, and divers should not assume that equipment rental, tank fills, or air services are available onsite. Divers need to bring their own required equipment, dive with a buddy, follow all posted dive rules, and stay within approved dive areas. Scuba divers are not allowed to dive under the waterpark area or enter restricted zones. Night dives, training sessions, and group dives should be arranged or confirmed ahead of time.
