Deadwood is open year-round on Thursday from 5–9 p.m., Friday from 5–9:30 p.m., Saturday from noon–9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. It is closed Monday through Wednesday. General admission to the grounds is free, and no separate playground admission is listed.
VISITING WITH CHILDREN
Adults should supervise children on the elevated structures and slides. The play area has wooden surfaces and outdoor ground cover, so comfortable shoes are useful. Allow extra time if your family also plans to walk the Old West streets or stop for food.
OTHER EXPERIENCES
Deadwood also has a restaurant, shops and seasonal train experiences. The regular train season is May through August on Saturdays, with separate fares; special train events run in fall and the holiday season. The roller coaster and mini golf are under renovation.
