RC COURSE
Black Bear Snow Tubing isn’t just about tubing—they also host the Bear Scat Track RC Crawler Course, which brings a whole new form of outdoor fun to Hendersonville. This thoughtfully designed track features 13 obstacles, including floating bridges, hill climbs, and “Boulder Mountain,” offering a spirited challenge for RC off-roaders of all levels. Whether you’re piloting your own rig or renting one on-site, it’s a hands-on experience that blends outdoor adventure with detailed technical skill.
One of the coolest things about the RC course is its inclusive and flexible setup. For newcomers or casual users, the resort offers rugged Axial SCX III and Capra 1.9 crawler rentals. For seasoned enthusiasts, there’s the option to bring your own crawler and dive right into the action. Rentals are structured by session—30 minutes or hourly, with discounts if you bring your own rig—making it easy to fit into your day alongside tubing or hayrides. The layout encourages both friendly competition and patient exploration: you can take time to assess tricky features at your own pace, or go full gas for a timed challenge.
The experience thrives on the same family-focused, welcoming atmosphere that makes Black Bear tubing so popular. You’ll find a social vibe as folks compare tips, tweak their rigs trackside, and cheer each other on. Younger kids enjoy watching in awe, and parents appreciate how the course encourages patience, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. It’s a cooperative kind of fun that appeals across generations, offering a tech-meets-nature twist to your mountain outing.
Above all, the RC course adds an unexpected layer of activity that broadens Black Bear’s appeal beyond snow and sledding. Whether you’re stopping for a break between runs or dedicating part of your visit to mastering rugged terrain in miniature form, the Bear Scat Track gives you a low-cost, high-engagement way to unplug, connect, and explore mechanical joy in the great outdoors.
