OUTDOOR YOGA

Outdoor yoga at Beech Mountain Resort—branded as Mile High Yoga—offers more than just a workout; it’s a full sensory experience perched at 5,506 feet atop the highest ski destination east of the Rockies. Participants ride the chairlift up to a secluded satellite deck next to the summit, surrounded by panoramic Blue Ridge vistas. The one-hour all-levels flow class takes place in the crisp mountain air, where the peaceful surroundings and gentle breeze enhance focus on breath, movement, and mindfulness.

Held every Saturday and Sunday from June through August, Mile High Yoga includes round-trip lift access in the $28 session fee—no additional transport required. Class sizes stay intentionally small to preserve an intimate atmosphere, and even after savasana, you can linger at the summit’s cozy setting for refreshments or lunch. Guided by experienced instructors trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Nidra styles, each session is curated to help you connect with both self and mountain—making for a rejuvenating blend of wellness, scenic escape, and mountain charm
