DISC GOLF
Beech Mountain Resort’s 18-hole disc (frisbee) golf course offers a refreshing twist on the classic game by turning the ski slopes into a high-altitude playground. Carved into the mountain at 5,506 feet, the layout mixes sweeping downhill fairways with tighter, wooded technical shots, providing a dynamic challenge as you navigate mixed terrain and elevation changes across roughly 2.5 miles. With professional-grade Innova DISCatcher targets, framed Disconcepts tee pads, and clear signage, each hole feels thoughtfully designed, though the rugged, natural terrain demands good footwear and attention.
What really elevates the experience is the option to ride the scenic chairlift to the summit before teeing off—perfect for saving energy on the climb or simply enjoying panoramic Blue Ridge views mid-round. Whether you prefer wandering up under your own steam or gliding up in comfort, both options are available (lift tickets are optional and priced around $20) . A friendly summer league, open to all skill levels, brings a fun community vibe with doubles play, prizes, and post-round hangouts in the alpine village. Scenic, challenging, and social, the course perfectly complements the resort’s mountain ambiance and resort-style amenities.
